Assalamualaikum and a very good morning to all present here. First of all I want to thanks to my lecturer Miss Ain for giving me an opportunity to share some of my story with you. Today I want to talk about my experience in tae kwon do. Tae kwon do is a Korean martial art and the national sport of South Korea. In Korean, tae means "to strike or break with foot" Otherwise, kwon means "to strike or break with fist" and do means "way," "method," or "art."
Tae kwon do divided into three types that is ITF, GTF and WTF. The meaning of ITF is International tae kwon do federation, GTF is Global Tae Kwon Do Federation and WTF is World Tae Kwon Do Federation. I joined World Tae Kwon Do Federation in my form 2 and at that time I was given white belt.
For your information, there are six type of belt colour in tae kwon do which are white, yellow, green, blue, red and black. Every three months there were four times grading in belt tests in a years.
There are a lot of martial movements that I have learned from tae won do. for example the tuning kick, front kick, side kick, reverse kick, lower front block, outer front block, inner front block, higher front block and many more.
In my form 4, I got first Dan Black Belt. The level of black belt is 1 Dan until 10 Dan. Each Dan has its own name.1 and 2 Dan is Assistant Instructor, 3 and 4 Dan is instructor, 5, 6 and 7 Dan is Master and 8, 9 and 10 Dan is Grandmaster. I only got the first Dan, so people called me as Assistant Instructor Rahmatullah.
That’s all from me. Thanks you.
